Penchant Signature wants the same considered experience we put into our pieces to extend to everyone who visits our website - including people who use screen readers, keyboards, screen magnification, or other assistive technologies.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a practical target, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time task. As we add features and content, we try to build them to be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
What we do
Across the site we work to:
- Use semantic, structured HTML with clear headings and landmarks.
- Support keyboard navigation and keep a visible focus indicator.
- Label interactive controls and provide text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Maintain readable colour contrast against our bone-and-cognac palette.
- Build layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and support browser zoom.
- Use ARIA roles and attributes where native HTML is not sufficient.
Ongoing work and known limitations
We continue to review and improve the site, and some areas may not yet fully meet our Level AA target. Parts of the experience also rely on third-party services - for example WhatsApp for messaging - whose accessibility is outside our direct control. Because our pieces are handmade, some imagery is descriptive rather than exhaustive; if you need more detail about a product, please reach out and we will gladly provide it.

The website is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and with common assistive technologies. If you are using older software and encounter difficulty, contacting us directly is often the quickest way for us to help.
